March 2017
March has been a month for travel. We enjoyed a few days near Malaga with Daniel and Jess and Jess's parents. Daniel and Jess have returned from 8 months travelling so we all had a lot to catch up on.
I then went to England for a few days before we set off again for a mini break in Barcelona with friends June and Jim.
We visited Granada and the Alhambra on the way to Malaga and enjoyed some spring sunshine on the beach. The weather was not so good for our visit to the precipitous walkway of the Caminito Del Rey, but the walk was impressive and fun. We all celebrated Daniel's 30th birthday while we were there.
We very much enjoyed Barcelona as well. The Sagrada Familia is breathtaking - work is still progressing and it will finally be finished in 2026. We all walked miles exploring the rest of the city as well, with several welcome beers and sangrias along the way!
We are home again now for the next few weeks and have guests arriving soon.

February 2017
We just have these few photos for February rather than the usual albums. We will make up for it this month! We have either been away visiting family in England or very busy here looking after the house and garden, getting ready for Spring - or the weather has been wet! In fact we have only had a couple of wet days, but when it rains it really rains! The Spring has been very mild so far and there is still very little snow on the mountains compared to usual.
The first photo above was taken on a walk near the village and the last 3 from a mountain walk. There were patches of snow around but not enough to need our snow shoes. It was beautiful up there in the sun
We have just returned from a week in Malaga. Daniel and Jess have returned from their 8 months travelling and were staying there with Jess's parents - we were very pleased to be invited to join them and had a great time.

January 2017
The first half on January was dry, sunny and cold - then the snow arrived, both in the Pyrenees and in the Alps, just in time for our weeks holiday in the Grand Massif with Lucy and Andy.

November 2016
Its the time of year for beautiful fiery skies in the mornings. The Autumn colours are still fantastic, especially in the winter sun. The weather has now become cold and frosty.
We had a lovely day up in Andorra on Dave's birthday. There is not enough snow for skiing just yet, but what snow there was looked lovely and we enjoyed a walk up the Valley d'Incles (above) in the sun

October 2016
We have enjoyed more lovely weather this October in the Ariege. The tomato crop has been at its best - including this very large and tasty one!! The farmers have been busy harvesting the maize and preparing the fields for the next crop of barley.
We enjoyed a wonderful but very strenuous walk above the Ariege ski resort of Les Monts d'Olmes and have also been out cycling locally which has been fun.
We have also just spent an enjoyable but busy couple of weeks England visiting family and now that we have returned Winter seems to be on the way....which will hopefully mean plenty of snow this year for skiing and snow-shoeing

September 2016
Its been a hot September! Daniel was here with us for a couple of weeks before setting off on more travels, so we enjoyed a couple of wonderful mountain walks in the sun with him. We have also got back on our bikes again - and enjoyed having more guests and evenings with friends.
Its also tomato time - the freezer is filling up with sauces and soups.
Here are our albums for the month - quite a few duplicates this time!!
